Window Tinting
What is window tinting?
Window tinting is the process of applying a thin film to glass to darken it. It can be applied to the windows of vehicles, homes, and buildings.
Laws In New Zealand, the front side windows of a vehicle must allow at least 35% of light to pass through.
There are the different types and uses for Tinted windows:
Dyed window tinting
This is the most common and affordable type of window tinting, but it doesn't offer the same level of UV protection as other types
Window film
This is a polyester coating that can be applied to the interior or exterior of glass
UV Protection Tinting
Window tinting can protect against UV rays, which can cause skin cancer and damage to furniture, rugs, and walls
Protection From Shattering Glass
Window tinting can provide an extra layer of protection in the event of a break-in or collision
